Quebec is the only Canadian province where asbestos mining is active and India is its number one importer. With Quebec Premier Jean Charest leading a business delegation to India starting January 31, some groups are gearing up to bring their message directly to the premier in New Delhi: That he should take into account all scientific evidence that asbestos is hazardous and stop its export.
